Recent Move

I recently moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina due to family health problems and I am getting tons of photos here. I do miss Colorado immensely and will be returning sooner or later (hopefully sooner) that is why I am still keeping my brand of Paul’s Colorado Photography and not changing it to something like Paul’s South Carolina Photography. Besides Colorado has a nice ring to it 😉 anyways without further ado, here are some photos taken since December, when I first came out on a short trip.

b  _MG_1940 _MG_1945 _MG_1984 _MG_1987             These first four were taken in Charleston, I only had a couple hours down here, but still came away with quite a few photos that I am still working on.

The leaf is from Surfside Beach during a stormy day and the second one is from Garden City one day after the full moon taken when a storm system started clearing out.

_MG_0987 _MG_1167 _MG_1184 _MG_1209 From North Carolina, the first three were taken at the USS North Carolina one of the most decorated battleships of WW2, the last one was taken on the way back

_MG_2021 _MG_2024 _MG_2005 _MG_2042 _MG_2076 and this last set was from a club house on a golf course. The golf course has been closed for nearly 10 years, I had driven past this place several times and was lured by it’s condition. I was quite surprised seeing something like this, back in Denver most places like this are torn down and large buildings including office towers or high rise apartments are built in it’s place. price to pay for the population explosion in Colorado. To some people this would be an eyesore, but to an artist, this is a gold mine.

I am also working on making videos, it’s definitely been quite the learning curve, extremely different from still photography. This is an example of one that I had done, taken with my GoPro and edited in GoPro studios using one of their templates, I have alot more learning to do.

Author: paulscoloradophotography

Nature and landscape photographer from Denver metro, Colorado. I also do extensive urban and night time photography. I originally started photography as a means to document my climbs of Colorado's many high mountain peaks, then it evolved from there. The biggest thing about landscape photography is being in nature and capturing those short lived and sublime moments that occur. There is nothing quite like being at a mountain lake feeling that cold mountain air, looking up at those dramatic peaks and spires, or being up late at night looking up at the incredible amount of stars visible from the Earth, something that very few people are able to experience any more this is the true source of my inspiration. I have had several gallery showings including with the Denver Photo Art Gallery owned by renowned nature photographer John Fielder, and a two week exhibit during the Democratic National Convention. I currently have 2 books out in collaboration with other people, plus working on a 3rd one about Loveland Pass region, this last one is still an ongoing project. Plus I have been published from other sources including Smith Southwestern and am a regular contributor in stock with Shutterstock and Dreamstime. I have had large scale corporate sales and numerous individual sales of my photos. This includes numerous photos with the Plenary Group and photos in the home of a well known actor
